Rebuild Your Life

large support group in addiction treatment therapiesAt Blueprint Recovery Center, the addiction treatment therapies that we use to design your individualized rehabilitation plan are a unique combination of clinical treatments and more patient-based, holistic approaches aimed at healing the whole person. In this sense, your addiction therapy in our care is twofold. On the one hand, we will provide you with the tools you need to overcome your substance abuse issues. And on the other hand, we will teach you to use these tools and make sure that your recovery is a success.

Blueprint Recovery’s Addiction Treatment Therapies

Recreational Therapy

Recreational therapy is unique in that it uses planned trips, social activities, and the client’s hobbies to boost their psychological and physical well-being. Among the specific recreational therapies we use are physical activities (competitive sports, dance, yoga, and tai chi), as well as arts and crafts projects and structured community outings. The activities allow patients to work on social skills while reducing stress and getting exercise. This boost to one’s overall well-being lays the groundwork for long-term recovery.

Expressive Therapy

Expressive therapy is among the addiction therapy programs that focus on helping patients express themselves more effectively. Even with no artistic experience, making visual art, dancing, writing, performing in dramas, and making music helps patients work through difficult emotional issues. It also helps with more general self-expression by giving patients a creative outlet.

Group Therapy

At Blueprint Recovery Center, we believe that recovery cannot happen in a vacuum. Sharing thoughts, experiences, and emotions, and hearing others do the same, is an essential part of all of our addiction therapy programs. Group addiction therapy also has the benefit of helping a patient to develop a strong support network as they build successful coping strategies and develop skills that will aid their long-term recovery.

Trauma-Focused Therapy

Trauma and addiction often go hand in hand. One of our most important addiction treatment therapies, trauma-focused therapy, helps patients identify their underlying issues along these lines. Each patient’s custom-designed treatment plan addresses any past trauma to ensure that it does not threaten their long-term recovery or result in relapse later.

Motivational Interviewing

Motivational interviewing is a cognitive behavioral treatment approach that allows patients to reflect on the steps they can take to make long-term positive changes in their lives. In this type of addiction therapy, the patient responds to questions in an individual therapy session. By answering honestly and analyzing those responses with their therapist, patients can discover their strengths as well as what motivates them on their recovery journey.

Family Therapy

Addiction is an isolating disease that strains relationships. In family therapy, the families of individuals struggling with addiction work with patients and their therapists to heal these wounds and develop healthy strategies for strengthening the family unit.

Medication-Assisted Treatment (MAT)

Medication-assisted treatment combines two addiction treatment therapies. After careful diagnosis, we administer small doses of specific medications to wean severely addicted patients off of drugs. And we simultaneously use a range of other treatment modalities to find the root of the addiction and to treat it from that perspective.

Dual Diagnosis Treatment

Individuals battling addiction are often also struggling with depression, anxiety, PTSD, or other undiagnosed mental issues that fuel their addiction. At Blueprint Recovery, our expert team specializes in treating these co-occurring issues simultaneously.

CBT

Cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT) is among the most widely known and used clinical addiction treatment therapies. And we also use it in non-addiction-focused mental health treatment. In CBT, patients talk through problems and strategies to help them develop healthy coping skills. In this way, they are better able to engage with the triggers and stresses they will encounter in everyday life. CBT sessions are between a patient and their therapist, and center around setting goals and planning strategies for when problems and temptations appear outside of an addiction therapy setting.
